Flat gasket
The main function of a flat washer is to increase the contact area, disperse the pressure of the bolt head or nut on the surface of the connected part, and prevent the surface of the connected part from being damaged or deformed due to excessive local pressure. For example, when connecting components made of softer materials, such as plastic shells or aluminum alloy structures, flat washers can avoid leaving pressure marks or causing local indentations on the material surface when bolts are tightened.
At the same time, flat washers can also reduce friction, making bolt installation and removal smoother, and to some extent protecting the threads of bolts, reducing the risk of thread wear.
